Bears 6th After First Day Of Ivy Golf Championship
Springfield, New Jersey - Playing the rolling hills of the Upper Course at the Baltusrol Golf Club, Brown's women's golf team is sixth after the first round of competition at the 2010 Ivy League Championship.
Penn leads the tournament at 314, followed by Harvard (319), Princeton (325), Columbia (325), Yale (328), Brown (332) and Dartmouth (337).
Sophomore Megan Tuohy is fifth overall after stepping up with a solid 78 on the world famous 6,101 yard, par-72 tract, set into the Baltustol Mountains. Sophomore Heather Arison turned in a strong 81 to place 12, while junior Sarah Guarascio came in at 83, 17th individually.
Play continues with 18 holes on Saturday, with the Bears teeing off at 11:00 am at the Upper Course. The Ivy Champion will be crowned after 18 holes on Sunday.
