Golfers Competing At Georgetown Hoya Invitational
Beallsville, MD - Displaying consistency throughout the lineup, coach Danielle Griffiths’ Brown women’s golf team shot 337 on the first day of play at the Georgetown Hoys Invitational, played at the 6,127 yard par-72 Four Streams Golf Club. The Bears are 13th in the 17-team field, with Nova Southeastern University holding the lead at 303.
Scheduled as a 54-hole tournament, the teams only played 18 holes due to weather conditions and will conclude the tournament with 18 holes starting tomorrow (Tuesday) at 8:30 a.m.
Bears’ sophomore Heather Arison came in at 41-42—83 to lead the Brown team and place 46th individually, followed by junior Susan Restrepo, who shot 41-43—84.
Sophomores Megan Tuohey and Carly Arison shot 85 each for the Bears, while junior Julia Robinson came in at 86.
Two team members played as individuals with junior Sarah Guarascio shooting 87, and freshman Claire Straty shooting 91.
