New Britain, CT - The Brown women’s golf team saved the
best until last, finishing second at the Central Connecticut Fall
Invitational, its final competition of the fall season. The Bears
shot a two-round 663 on rounds of 330-333 at the par-72 rain soaked
Stanley Municipal Golf Course.
Hartford captured the team championship with a two-round 645, followed by the Bears (663), Fairfield (677), Siena (680), Holy Cross (704), Central Connecticut (719) and St. Francis-NY (766).
Sophomore Heather Arison led the Bears and finished third overall with a two-round 161, shooting 79-82. Junior captain Susan Restrepo played as an individual and placed fifth individually, shooting 80-83—163.
Junior Susan Guarascio and sophomore Carly Arison each placed 11th individually at 168, with Guarascio shooting 85-83, and Arison coming in with 81-87. Junior Julia Robinson also had a strong tournament, carding 88-82—170 tyo finish 14th, while sophomore Megan Tuohy was solid at 85-86—171, good for 16th place. Senior Anita Sekar also played as an individual, shooting 104-92—196.
