Five Brown Golfers Named To NGCA All-American Scholar Team

Providence, Rhode Island - Five members of coach Danielle Griffiths’ Brown women’s Golf team have been selected to the National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team for 2009.  Julia Robinson ’11 (Rehoboth Beach, DE), Carly Arison ’12 (Copley, OH), Heather Arison ’12 (Copley, OH), Megan Tuohy ’12 (Indianapolis, IN) and Susan Restrepo ’11 (Jacksonville Beach, FL) were selected to the team of 410 women’s collegiate golfers for Division I, II and III, recognizing their academic success.

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics.  The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.5, and the student-athletes must have competed in at least 50-percent of the college’s regularly scheduled competitive rounds.
