Samantha Lloyd to Play in North/South Senior All-Star Game

Brown senior tri-captain Samantha Lloyd (Shavertown, PA) will extend her field hockey career, with the opportunity to play a little longer after the conclusion of Brown's field hockey season. She was one of 38 athletes chosen for the Division I North-South Senior All-Star Game, to be held at Wake Forest University on Saturday, November 18, 2006 at 7:30 p.m.

A unanimous First Team All-Ivy selection a year ago, Lloyd is one of two Ivy League athletes chosen among the 38 total athletes. With three games left this season, Lloyd is currently third on the team in scoring with 4-4-12 numbers, including two game-winning goals. She currently ranks 10th in the Ivy League in points and fifth in assists. The leading scorer a year ago with 8-4-20 numbers, Lloyd also led the team with three game-winning goals, while earning Second Team STX.NFHCA All-Region honors. Lloyd has played in 47 career games, including all 45 over the past three seasons, while earning 43 starts. For her career, she has tallied 38 points (14g, 10a).

The Bears have three games left on the 2006 schedule, playing at Holy Cross and Penn this week, before returning home on November 4th to host Yale in their final game of the season.
