Norris to Coach in United Field Hockey League

(Apr. 4, 2001) -- Brown University's Carolan Norris, head coach of the Brown field hockey program, has been selected to co-coach the New England Eclipse Team in the United Field Hockey League. This league is part of the U.S. Olympic Field Hockey Program and will consist of seven regional teams with twenty players each.

There will be open tryouts held all over the country for the selection process, and once the seven squads are named they will compete against each other in two different tournaments this summer: June 1-2 at the University of North Carolina and June 15-17 at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The top four teams will then play at the National Futures Tournament over the weekend of July 4th, held at the University of Maryland.
