PROVIDENCE, RI - The Princeton Tigers (9-2, 3-0) scored just five minutes into the game and never looked back en route to a 5-1 win over Brown (5-5, 1-2) in an Ivy League game played at Warner Roof on Saturday afternoon.

Princeton, ranked 7th in the nation, scored on a penalty corner just 5:38 into the contest when junior Rachael Becker got the ball past freshman Kathryn Noe (Simsbury, CT). Princeton's leading scorer, Ilvy Friebe tallied an assist on the goal. One minute later, at 28:19, the Tigers were awarded a penalty stroke, which freshman Natalie Martirosian converted to give Princeton an early 2-0 lead.

Friebe assisted on a third goal, just seven minutes later, scored by sophomore Claire Miller and Noe, who tallied one save, was replaced by senior Annie Owens (Louisville, KY).

The Tigers would score two more times over the next 14 minutes, ending with a Friebe, who now has 47 points on the season, goal with 7:53 remaining in the first half.

The Bears got on the board with 24:07 remaining in the game on their lone corner of the contest. Junior tri-captain Ashley Wallace (Avon, CT) took a shot from the top of the circle, which sophomore Molly Carleton (Shaker Heights, OH) tipped in for the lone Brown goal.

Owens completed the game with 11 saves in 56:39 as Brown was outshot 21-4, while Princeton's Kelly Baril made one save. The Bears continue action on Wednesday, October 17 when they host Holy Cross in a 4:00 p.m. contest.
