    Junior Rachel Lanouette (Windham, N.H.) of the Brown field hockey team was named Second Team All-Ivy, as it was announced by the conference on Tuesday, Nov. 7.

    The Brown field hockey team was defeated by Yale, 4-0, in its final game of the season at Johnson Field on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore Hannah Leckey (Madison, Conn.) recorded a defensive save in the contest, which moved her into a tie for third all-time at Brown in defensive saves for a season.

    The Brown field hockey team will play in its final home game of the 2017 campaign, the squad’s Senior Day, on Saturday, Oct. 28 against Penn. The game is set to begin at 12:00 p.m. at Goldberger Family Field, with the senior ceremony starting prior the contest.
  • Field Hockey Suffers 2-1 Loss at Colgate

    The Brown field hockey team closed out non-conference play for the 2017 campaign with a 2-1 setback against Colgate at Tyler’s Field on Sunday afternoon. The Raiders took a 2-0 lead in the first half and were able to hold on while the Bears’ second half effort pulled them within one.
  • Field Hockey Edged by Cornell in Overtime, 2-1

    The Brown field hockey team used a second-half goal by sophomore Gina Openshaw (Annapolis, Md.) to tie the contest 1-1 and eventually force overtime in an Ivy League battle, but Cornell was able to score the the game-winner two minutes into the extra period to lift the Big Red to a 2-1 win at Dodson Field on Saturday afternoon.

    The Brown field hockey team will travel to Cornell on Saturday, Oct. 21 for an Ivy League contest starting at 11:30 a.m. and will then compete at Colgate on Sunday, Oct. 22 for a 12:00 p.m. non-conference game.

    The Brown field hockey team was defeated by Holy Cross, 4-1, in a non-conference game at Goldberger Family Field on Sunday afternoon. Maureen Connolly and Emily Loprete paced the Crusaders offensively, with Connolly recording two goals and two assist and Loprete registering two goals and one assist. Freshman Lexi King (Granby, Conn.) put in the Bears’ goal in the contest, which was her first career score.

    The Brown field hockey team was defeated by No. 14 Princeton, 11-1, on Saturday afternoon at Goldberger Family Field. Senior Katherine Kallergis (Lake Forest, Ill.) netted the Bears’ score in the contest, her first tally of the season.

The Ivy League match-up on Saturday will begin at noon while the non-conference game will start at 1:00 p.m. the following day, the team’s Vs. Cancer game.

    The Brown field hockey team was defeated by Monmouth, 9-0, at “So Sweet a Cat” Field on Sunday afternoon. Junior Maddie Ayles (Westwood, Mass.) made her fifth career defensive save in the contest, which moved her into a tie for sixth all-time at Brown in the category.

Senior Kelly Conway (Oakhurst, N.J.) and freshman Anagha Nayak (Ann Arbor, Mich.) scored for the Bears.

    The Brown field hockey team was defeated by Bryant, 4-3, in its season-opening game at Goldberger Family Field on Friday afternoon. The Bears claimed a 2-1 lead in the opening half but the Bulldogs scored three unanswered goals in the second to take control of the contest. Brown pulled within one with 28 second remaining but was unable to net the equalizer.
