2013 All-Ivy Field Hockey Selections Announced

PRINCETON, N.J. – Junior Meghan O'Donnell (Winchester, Mass.) earned Second Team All-Ivy honors while tri-captains Avery Burns (Millersville, Md.) and Shannon McSweeney (Boxborough, Mass.) garnered Honorable Mention All-Ivy accolades in an announcement made by the league on Wednesday.

As Brown's leading scorer this season, O'Donnell finished sixth overall in the league in points (27) and fourth in goals (12), both career highs.  The forward was an Honorable Mention All-Ivy selection in 2012 and now sits third on the team's all-time goals list with 29.

Burns completed her second season as tri-captain of the Brown field hockey team, totaling a team-best seven assists while appearing in all 17 games for the Bears.

McSweeney also earns All-Ivy Honorable Mention honors after ranking third in the league in save percentage (.771) and first overall in saves per game (10.1).
