Reeve Announces Eight Member Class of 2016
PROVIDENCE, RI – Brown field hockey coach Jill Reeve has announced the eight players who will be joining the Bears as part of the Class of 2016 this fall. Reeve's first recruiting class as the Bears' head coach, the group includes three forwards, three midfielders, one back, and one goalie. They represent five different states with Connecticut most represented with four members of the class hailing from the Nutmeg State.
"I am extremely excited about the power and talent that our incoming 2012 class possesses," said Reeve. "Each athlete offers a dynamic set of skills that will lend support to our current team. My expectations are fairly high for our upcoming season and I expect these young ladies to be an integral part of establishing a new era of Brown Field Hockey."
Emily Arciero
Hometown: Avon, Connecticut
High School: Avon
Club Team: HTC
Position: Forward/Midfield
- Four-year starter and 2011 captain at Avon High School
- Helped to lead Avon to a Conference Championship in 2009 and 2011
- Named a Regional All-American in 2011
- 2011 NFHCA Southern NE Team and All-Academic selection
- Three-time All-NCCC selection
- Two-time First Team All-State honoree and one-time Second Team All-State selection
- Named First Team All-Courant in 2010 and 2011 after earning Honorable Mention honors in 2008 and 2009
- National Honor Society member
- Uncle, Rick Stockwell, is a Brown graduate
Tara Mahon
Hometown: Garden City, New York
High School: Garden City
Club Team: CNY
Position: Midfield
- Two-year starter and 2011 captain at Garden City High School
- Helped to lead Garden City to the 2008 NY State Championship, finishing as semi-finalists in 2009, and Runners-up in 2010 and 2011
- Regional All-American in 2011
- Two-time All-State and two-time All-County selection
- Member of National Honor Society
- Brother, Sean, is a member of the Harvard lacrosse team
Anna Masini
Hometown: Ann Arbor, Michigan
High School: Huron High School
Position: Forward/Back
- Two-time captain for the field hockey team at Huron
- Helped to lead field hockey team to back-to-back (2010 & 2011) Michigan State Championships
- Named First Team All-Division in both 2010 and 2011
- Voted team MVP by teammates
- Also an All-State honoree for track
- Member of National Honor Society
- Sister, Kit, was a four-year member of the Brown field hockey team (2008-11)
- Sister, Lisa, is a rising senior on the Dartmouth field hockey team
Alexis Miller
Hometown: North Caldwell, New Jersey
High School: West Essex Regional
Club Team: New Heights
Position: Midfield
- Three-year starter and captain in 2011 for the field hockey team at West Essex
- Helped to lead West Essex to a 23-2 record in 2011 and a 22-3 record in 2010
- Named West Essex Regional's Female Scholar Athlete of the Year
- Two-time Third Team All-State
- Two-time First Team All-County
- Two-time First Team All-NJ Group 2
- Two-time First Team Super Essex County Conference
- Named Second Team All-County in 2009
- Helped to lead West Essex to three Essex County Championships
- West Essex won the 2011 & 2008 State Championship and was Runner-Up at the 2010 State Championship

Cally Moran

- Helped to lead Loomis Chaffee to the New England Quarterfinals in 2009 and the Semi-Finals in 2010

Katelynn Mudgett

Position: Forward/Midfield
- Four-year member of the field hockey team at Lewis S. Mills
- Two-time captain of the field hockey team
- Four-time First Team All-League honoree and four-time All-State recipient, earning three straight First Team honors
- Four-time All-Courant honoree
- Finished career with 58 goals and 39 assists, including 16-14-30 numbers as a senior
- Four-year participant in National Futures Championship
- Member of National Honor Society
Hannah Rogers
Hometown: Los Altos, California
High School: St. Francis
Club Team: San Jose Fly
Position: Midfield
- Three-year starter & captain of field hockey team as a senior at St. Francis
- Two-time All-League honoree, earning First Team honors as a senior and Second Team honors as a junior
- Helped to lead St. Francis to a Central Coast Section Championship as a senior
- Also played basketball for four years and was a four-year member of the gymnastics team

Galen Rohn
Hometown: Darien, Connecticut
High School: Darien
Club Team: Fairfield County United
Position: Back
- Four-year member of and two-year starter on the Darien field hockey team
- Helped to lead Darien to an undefeated regular season as a senior captain in 2011
- Named Second Team All-State and All-FCIAC in 2011
- Darien was also undefeated in 2009 and 2010, winning a nation's best 93 straight games
- Helped to lead Darien to the 2009 and 2010 FCIAC Championship and Connecticut State Championship
- Also played ice hockey and lacrosse
