PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 9 Brown women's crew team opened the 2014 spring season by reclaiming the Class of 1987 Trophy for the first time since 2007 and earning its 10th win since the award's inception at No. 5 Princeton with Michigan State on Lake Carnegie on Saturday.
In tough conditions, the Brown varsity eight turned in a time of 6:45.6 to beat the Tigers by three seconds, while the varsity four (7:46.8) and varsity B4/C4 (7:55.0) also took first place.
