Pavichevich Selected as Ivy League Player of the Week

PROVIDENCE, RI - Senior Rada Pavichevich (Norwood Park, IL) was named the Ivy League Player of the Week in women's basketball for the week ending December 2.

Pavichevich spearheaded the Bears' come-from-behind victory over Army in the first round of the Brown Classic by scoring nine points in the final two minutes, including a three-pointer with 29 seconds remaining to give Brown a 65-56 win. The senior, who rotates between forward and guard, posted 17 points and 10 rebounds to earn a double-double for the afternoon.

In the championship game against Texas A&M, Pavichevich tied her career-high with 23 points on nine of 16 shooting, including a three of five performance from three point range. Pavichevich also pulled down six boards and handed out three assists against the Aggies to earn a spot on the All-Tournament team.

Pavichevich leads Brown (3-4) in scoring with 13.1 ppg and is second on the team in rebounding with 6.0 rpg. She is shooting 73% from the free throw line (24-33) and has been the top scorer for the Bears in four out of seven games.
