Women's Basketball Ranks Fifth on WBCA Academic Honor Roll

Providence, RI - The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced its 2006-2007 Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll for NCAA Division I. The Bears turned in a team grade point average of 3.517, which ranked fifth among NCAA Division I institutions, and were the only team in the Ivy League on the honor roll.

The awards recognized teams throughout the nation that have the highest GPA for the 2006-2007 season based upon nominations submitted by WBCA-member coaches. Leading the list was South Dakota State University with a 3.693, followed by University of Northern Iowa (3.624), St. Bonaventure University (3.594) and Montana State University-Bozeman (3.557).

The WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll for NCAA Division I is as follows:
