Brown Names Bass Assistant Women's Basketball CoachPamela Bass, a 1991 graduate of Brown University and a former Brown women's basketball player, was named assistant women's basketball coach by the Bears this week.
Bass brings to Brown ten years of intercollegiate coaching experience at several Division I programs. Bass most recently served as the assistant coach at Yale University, where she assisted with scheduling and recruiting. Prior to that she had worked at the University of Hartford, and Bass also spent time as a coach with the University of Illinois-Chicago and Providence College. Before beginning her coaching career, she was a marketing intern and compliance assistant at the University of Texas.
A 1991 graduate of Brown, Bass served as the Brown team's student assistant coach for the 1990-91 season after three seasons of playing for the Bears. She was an area supervisor of a peer counseling program in Providence.
Bass holds a bachelors degree in American Civilization from Brown, and earned her masters in education in sports administration from Texas in 1993.
