Women's Hoops Looks To Continue Win Streak At Navy

Brown will travel to Annapolis, MD for its first-ever meeting with Navy. The Bears enters the game on a three-game win streak, upping their record to 5-6. Brown downed Sacred Heart, 75-62, at home on Sunday. After going down by nine early in the match, Brown exploded for 31 points in the last 12 minutes of the half to take a 40-32 halftime lead. Brown continued its hot shooting in the second half, going up by as many as 21. The team's pressure defense denied the Pioneers of a field goal for over eight minutes of play as it took advantage with a 16-5 run.

Prior to that, Brown opened up the new year with a 61-52 victory over American on Friday. The Bears, down 21-6 with 6:50 left to play in the first half, steamrolled their way to a 15-point lead by the midway point of the second half with a 35-5 run.

Senior Nyema Mitchell leads Brown with 13.1 points per game. Three players (Mitchell, junior Holly Robertson, and sophomore Sarah Hayes) are averaging a team-high 6.2 rebounds per game.

Navy returns home with a 6-7 record, after a 69-60 loss to Wyoming on Sunday. The Mids were on a two-game win streak with 79-53 and 73-60 wins over St. Francis (NY) and Air Force respectively. Courtney Davidson leads Navy with 18.4 points per game. Adrienne Roseti is averaging a team-high 6.1 rebounds.

The two teams have four common opponents this season. Both teams fell to Delaware earlier in the season and the Bears recently defeated Patriot League opponent American, 61-52.
