West Point, New York - - The US Military Academy had four players score in double figures as the Cadets (4-2) earned a 63-50 win over Brown at Cristl Arena. Annesley O'Neal led Brown (0-7) with a double-double, scoring 13 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.
Brown trailed 32-17 at the half after shooting 22 percent from the field (7 of 31) in the first half, while Army connected on 13 of 25 field goals (52 percent).
The Bears pulled to within 12 points of the cadets, 60-48, with 1:29 remaining in the game on three free throws by Shae Fitzpatrick.
O'Neal scored her team high 13 points on 6 of 14 shooting from the field, while her 10 rebounds are a career high. Fitzpatrick also scored in double figures for the Bears with 11 points on 4 of 9 shooting from the field. Sadiea Williams and Natalie Bonds added eight points each for the Bears.
Army was led by Nalini Hawkins, who scored a game high 16 points and pulled down seven rebounds. Megan Evans and Cara Enright added 14 points each for the cadets.
Brown returns home to the Pizzitola Sports Center on Saturday and Sunday, December 1-2, to host the Brown Bear Basketball Classic. The Bears will face Howard on Saturday at 1:00 p.m., followed by Manhattan against St. Joe's (PA).
