EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Before classes begin for the spring semester, Brown University women's basketball spent some time on Wednesday, Jan. 13 to help out at a middle school basketball practice at The Wolf School.
The Bears gave some tips to the students at The Wolf School during their afternoon practice and worked with them on the fundamentals of the game. The team also brought posters from Brown's Education Day against Rhode Island College to the school.
Founded in 1999, The Wolf School educates around 50 complex learners and special education students per year in grades K-8. The school serves children with multiple learning differences and works with students from Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut in classrooms with low teacher-to-student ratios.
