Bikofsky Tabbed as Ivy League Co-Player of the Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – After her career-high, 23-point performance against Saint Peter's on Saturday, junior guard Sophie Bikofsky (Newton, Mass.) earned Ivy League Co-Player of the Week honors in an announcement made by the league on Monday.  Bikofsky and Harvard's Christine Clark earn Co-Player of the Week accolades after Cornell's Allyson DiMagno took home the opening weekend honors last week.

Bikofsky paced the Bears to victory on Saturday, shooting 8-of-11 from the floor while tallying six treys and four rebounds as Brown scored a 64-52 triumph over Saint Peter's.

The Co-Player of the Week accolades are the first for Bikofsky and the first for the Bears since co-captain Lauren Clarke (Colts Neck, N.J.) earned the honors on January 22, 2013.

For the season, Bikofsky has averaged a team leading 19.5 points and is shooting an Ivy League best, 76.9% (10-for-13) from behind the arc.

The Bears continue their five-game road trip with a visit to Bryant on Wednesday before traveling to West Point to take on Army on Saturday.
