LAST TIME OUT
Emily Homan's layup with 24 seconds to play propelled Lafayette to a 70-69 win over the Brown women's basketball team at the Pizzitola Sports Center on Sunday.
Brown boasted four players in double figures on Sunday with junior Sophie Bikofsky (Newton, Mass.) leading the way with 16 points and 4-of-5 shooting from behind the arc.
FOUR PLAYERS SET CAREER HIGHS
Alexander, Rebecca Musgrove (Plainview, N.Y.), Carly Wellington (Lake Oswego, Ore.), and KJ Veldman (Spirit Lake, Iowa) all recorded career highs in points against Lafayette last Sunday. Veldman and teammate Sophie Bikofsky garnered Ivy League weekly honor roll accolades for their performances against Lafayette.
VS. SAINT PETER'S
Saturday marks the fourth meeting between the two schools with the Bears holding a 2-1 edge in the all-time series. Brown recorded its highest offensive output of the season after its 82-48 triumph over the Peacocks last season. New Jersey native Lauren Clarke registered 20 points on 8-for-12 shooting to pace the Bears on November 10, 2012.
SCOUTING THE PEACOCKS
Saint Peter's opened up its season with a 64-37 loss on the road to Hampton last Sunday. Marcia Senatus led the team with nine points while Kaydine Bent and Hala Mostafa followed up with eight points of their own in the loss. Saint Peter's looks to snap a 15-game home losing streak after recording its last victory at the Yanitelli Center on February 24, 2012, against Rider.
