Over 275 student-athletes, coaches, staff and distinguished guests were in attendance at the banquet to celebrate another year of success in competition, in the classroom and in the community. President Christina Paxson and Director of Athletics Jack Hayes each took the opportunity to address the room and acknowledge the accomplishments and contributions of the class of 2013.

However, the Crimson would end the game on a 6-2 run, en route to a 77-71 victory. Brown falls to 8-16 overall and 1-8 in the Ivy League. Harvard improves to 5-3 in the Ivy League and 14-8 overall.

    Brown Falls to a Tough Squad From Princeton, 68-37 After a series of schedule changes made necessary by Winter Storm Nemo, the Brown women’s basketball team (7-12, 1-4 Ivy League) welcomed the Princeton Tigers (13-5, 4-0 Ivy League) to the Pizzitola Sports Center tonight for an Ivy League contest. The Bears ultimately fell to the visiting squad, 68-37, but senior co-captain Sheila Dixon (Schenectady, NY) provided a bright spot for Brown, scoring a game-high 17 points, including 2-of-5 from long range.

    Today's Women's Basketball Game Changed To Saturday Due To Snowstorm The Brown women's basketball game vs. Princeton scheduled for today at noon has been changed due to the impending snowstorm. Brown will now host the Tigers tomorrow evening, Saturday, February 9, with tip-off scheduled for 7 pm at the Pizzitola Sports Center. Brown will also host Penn on Sunday evening, February 10 at 7:00 p.m. In addition, Brown's gymnastics meet vs. RIC, Bridgeport, Cortland, and Springfield on Sunday (2/10) is now scheduled for 1pm.     Brown Basketball Hosts Special Olympics Clinic Both the Brown men’s and women’s basketball teams and coaching staffs hosted a clinic for Rhode Island Special Olympics on Wednesday, January 9 at the Olney Margolies Athletic Center on the Brown campus. Brown players demonstrated the fundamentals of basketball and participated in drills with Special Olympians from throughout the State of Rhode Island and Southeast Massachusetts.     Bears Host Rider, Quinnipiac & New Hampshire in Brown BEAR Classic Providence, RI- The Brown women's basketball team will host its 21st annual Brown Bear Basketball Classic on December 1st and 2nd at the Pizzitola Sports Center. The four-team tournament features the Rider Broncs (2-3), the UNH Wildcats (3-2), and the Quinnipiac Bobcats (4-0). The Bears (2-4) and Rider kick off the tournament at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1, followed by Quinnipiac and UNH at 4 p.m. On Sunday, Brown will take on either Quinnipiac or New Hampshire at 4 p.m. Live stats will be provided for all games, and video will be available (for a fee) for the Brown games.
