Women’s Basketball Team Hosts Hoops for Haiti

Providence, RI- The Brown women’s basketball team wants to support those affected by the recent tragedy in Haiti. The team is raising money through a “free-throw-a-thon” and would ask that you support the team in any way possible. Each team member will shoot 300 free-throws on Wednesday, Feb. 10, and will try to raise over $3,000. ALL the money raised will go to UNICEF, where 100% of the money donated will go to the Haiti effort. All donations are tax deductible, and for more information on UNICEF you can go to www.unicefusa.org.

Each Brown women’s basketball player is asking for donations per made free-throw. You can donate $1 per made shot, $.75, .50, $.25, $.10 or any amount or donation you see fit.
