Men's Cross Country Earns Second at Dartmouth Invitational

Hanover, NH - Freshman Matt Duffy (Oakland, CA) earned Brown's highest finish (fourth) with a 26:18.50 to help lead the Brown men's cross country team to a second-place finish at the Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday morning. The Bears combined for 57 points, placing behind Dartmouth who tallied 39. In third was UMass (59), followed by Boston University (102), Maine (125), Monmouth (154) and Central Connecticut State University (207).

Brown's next top scorer was sophomore Brian Schilder (Milford, NJ) coming in sixth place with a 26:25.70, followed by freshman Tom Elnick (Merrick, NY) with a 26:40.00, and freshman Ethan Hickey (Liverpool, NY) with a 26:49.20.

Rounding out the scoring was freshman Max Long with a 26:51.10, Mike Elnick's 27:02.00, and last but not least, junior Alex Stern (Potomac, MD) with a 27.03.30.

The Bears are back in action on Friday, Oct. 3, in Bethleham, PA, at Lehigh for the Paul Short Invitational.
