Kevin Myles is entering his third year with the Brown Men's and Women's Cross Country / Track and Field staff and will oversee the training for the men's distance and mid-distance programs.
During his time at Brown, Myles has worked with a number of school record holders, All-Ivy selections, IC4A qualifiers, NCAA Regional Qualifiers, Ivy League individual champions, and two NCAA Championship participants. The 2009-2010 year saw an Ivy League individual championship from Duriel Hardy '10 in the men's indoor 5k, and also NCAA appearances by both Hardy (Outdoor Track 10k) and Christian Escareno (Cross Country).
Myles was a 2001 graduate of LaSalle University, where he earned a
Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. As a five-year member of cross
country/track & field team, Myles was a nine-time
All-Conference member, a five-time All District team member, and a
1998 NCAA individual qualifier in cross country. Myles was a member
of LaSalle's 1999 Atlantic 10 Cross Country Championship team, and
was also selected as a 1999 Academic All-American. In 2001, he was
selected as the Atlantic 10 Indoor Track & Field
Student-Athlete of the Year.
Myles joined Brown from Northeastern University in Boston, where he served as a financial aid counselor. Prior to his time there, he spent three years coaching at the high school level at both Bishop Feehan High School in Attleboro, MA, and Franklin High School in Franklin, MA.
