PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown University men's and women's cross country teams will travel to Princeton's West Windsor Fields on Saturday, Oct. 29 for the 2016 Ivy League Heptagonal Championships. The women's race (6K) will start at 11 a.m. followed by the men's race (8K) at noon

The women's team placed fourth at the 2015 Ivy League Championship, while Princeton captured the team title. Natalie Schudrowitz paced the Bears with a 12th-place finish to earn Second Team All-Ivy honors, while Taylor Worthy and rookie Carleen Jeffers both finished inside the top 20.
Most recently, Schudrowitz led the Bears at the highly-competitive Pre-National Invitational. She also joined Worthy as a top-20 finisher at the Paul Short Run earlier in the season.
The men's team placed eighth at the Ivy League Championship last season, while Columbia claimed the team title.
Brown will turn to Matt Mahoney this time around after he turned in a second-place finish at the New England Championships earlier in the season. Rookies Gabriel Altopp and Cameron Dalyalso posted top-10 times at the same event.
After the Ivy League Championships, the Bears return to action for the NCAA Northeast Regional at Van Cortland Park.
