Men’s Cross Country Finishes Fourth at Dartmouth Invitational

Providence, RI- In the first meet of the 2011 season, the Brown men's cross country team finished fourth with 93 team points at the Dartmouth Invitational this weekend. The Big Green won the title with 15 points, while Boston College finished in second (64), and Middlebury in third (68). Brown's rookie runners gained some valuable experience and will now prepare for the Iona Meet of Champions in New York on Sept. 17.

Leading the Bears today on the 4.5 mile run at Hanover Country Club was Kyler Evitt, who finished 22nd overall with a 23:22. Rookies Will Conway (23:48), Dana Dourdeville (23:48) and Jordan Mann (23:50) followed with 31, 32 and 33 place finishes, respectively, while following close behind was Ben Halpin in 37th with a 24:05.

Brown junior Ben Stephenson came in 38th place with a 24:09, as senior Ethan Hickey rounded out the group with a time of 24:10 for 40th overall.
