Aug. 31, 2005

Brad Cieleski, a four-time NCAA wrestling qualifier, has been named an assistant wrestling coach at Brown University. Cieleski joins head coach Dave Amato and his assistant Mike Burch after spending his last year of eligibility at the University of Missouri, where he compiled a record of 26-9 for the Tigers at 157 lbs.

Cieleski earned his undergraduate degree in criminology at Slippery Rock University in 2004. He began his career wrestling at 149 lbs for the Rock and over the course of three years, Cieleski racked up two NCAA Division I East Regional Championship titles and was a two-time Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Champion. He was just the seventh wrestler in Slippery Rock history to win two or more regional and PSAC titles.

Cieleski went on to finish second at the Big XII Championships while also earning his fourth trip to the NCAA Tournament last season as a graduate student at Missouri. Ranked within the top 15 of his weight class throughout the season, he was named to the NWCA All-Academic Team.
