Dies and Ciarcia Finish in Top 12 in the country at NCAA Tournament

Seniors Nick Ciarcia and David Dies were eliminated from competition at the NCAA Tournament in St. Louis, MO. Entering the tournament unseeded, Dies and Ciarcia wrestled their way to the consolation quarterfinals on Friday.

At 149, Dies lost a close 7-6 bout in the consolation quarterfinals to University of Oklahoma's Jeff Ecklof. At 184, Ciarcia lost a tight 2-1 match in the consolation quarterfinals to Travis Frick of Lehigh. Dies and Ciarcia finished the weekend with 3 wins and 2 losses.

Both grapplers finished in the top 12 in the country, but needed wins in the consolation finals to earn All-American Honors.
