Mike Gartner '09 Earns CWPA Northern Division Player of the Week Honors

Providence, RI - Brown University senior Mike Garnter (San Jose, CA) notched six goals and had six ejections drawn to earn the Nov. 3 Northern Division Player of the Week award. Gartner helped power the No. 17 Bears to a 15-10 victory over the visiting M.I.T. Engineers during senior night at Balfour Natatorium at Wheaton College on Thursday evening.

Shooting 56 percent for the year, Gartner is second on the team in scoring with 49 goals and picked his third Player of the Week award after earning the Sept. 15 and 29th honors. He also holds the team lead in ejections drawn (102) and has 13 steals.

The Brown water polo squad is back in action this weekend, as they travel to M.I.T. for the Northern Division Championship tournament this weekend from Nov. 8-9.
