No. 18 Brown Men’s Water Polo Dominates Cal Lutheran, 21-4

Princeton, N.J. - Senior Svetozar Stefanovic (Belgrade, Serbia) and sophomore Henry Fox (Mercer Island, WA) led the No. 18 Brown men's water polo team to a 21-4 victory over Cal Lutheran with four goals apiece at Princeton's Denunzio Pool on Friday evening.

The Bears shot out to a 5-1 first quarter lead and went on to outscore Cal Lutheran 7-1 in the second quarter to take a 12-2 lead at the half. Brown's offense continued to roll outscoring Cal Lutheran 7-1 in the third to increase its lead to 19-3 Nick Deaver (Orinda, CA) and Fox netted goals in the fourth quarter to finish Cal Lutheran off with a 21-4 victory.

Junior Walker Shockley (Diamond Bar, CA) tallied seven saves in three quarters in the cage this evening, while sophomore Andrew Brown (La Grange, IL) picked up two in the final eight minutes.

Stefanovic also added four assists, four steals and three ejections drawn to his four goals, while Fox handed out three assists and picked up four steals. Junior Grant Villeneuve (Atherton, CA) and Deaver finished the game with three goals each, while rookie Will Klein (Pasadena, CA) knocked in two. Also adding goals was freshman Matty Gallas (Los Angeles, CA), senior Dean Serure (Coral Gables, FL),junior James McNamara (Los Angeles, CA), senior Cyrus Mojdehi (La Jolla, CA) and Hank Lee (Newport Beach, CA).

Bruno will now take on Johns Hopkins at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday, followed by a 5:30 p.m. matchup vs. Bucknell.
