McNamara, Stefanovic Shatter Records; Earn ACWPC All-American Honors

Providence, RI- Brown University men's water polo sophomore James McNamara (Los Angeles, CA) and junior Svetozar Stefanovic (Belgrade, Serbia) received Honorable Mention All-American honors by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) while also breaking multiple Brown records for single season and career goals, assists and points.

McNamara, a Second Team All-North selection, tallied 80 assists during the 2011 season to break Brown's single-season record of 77, which was previously held by Hank Weintraub '09.

Stefanovic, a three-time Northern Division Player of the Year, broke his own single-season goal mark of 81 by netting 107 goals this past season. He also broke Kent Rapp's career record of 249 goals by scoring five against Navy and St. Francis for a career total of 253.

Both McNamara and Stefanovic shattered the previous points in a season mark of 118, which was held by Weintraub. Stefanovic totaled 128 points (107 goals, 21 assists) to take over the number two spot, while McNamara captured the top spot by combining for 146 points (66 goals, 80 assists).
