Stefanovic Earns Third Straight CWPA Player Of the Year Award; Three Other Bears Receive CWPA Accolades

Providence, RI- Junior Svetozar Stefanovic (Belgrade, Serbia) made history this evening as he became the first men's player in CWPA history to garner three consecutive CWPA Northern Division Most Valuable Player of the Year Awards.  A three-time First Team All-League honoree with this year's selection, Stefanovic is joined on the First Team by his teammate and 2010 Second Team selection James McNamara (Los Angeles, CA).   

Stefanovic leads his team and the country in goals scored with 97 this season, and has also added 20 assists, 54 steals, and 99 ejections drawn.  He has garnered CWPA weekly honors 13 times in his career, including five times this season.

McNamara leads the country in steals with 109 and ranks fifth in the country in goals scored adding 64 for the Bears.   He has received CWPA Weekly honors five times this season and a total of eight in his career. 

Henry Fox (Mercer Island, WA) was named the league's Rookie of the Year and was a Second Team All-North selection.  Fox combined for 39 goals, 29 assists, and 57 steals and he earned CWPA weekly honors twice this season.   Also earning Second Team All-North honors was junior Michael Hartwick (Los Angeles, CA).   Hartwick tallied 10 goals, handed out 19 assists and picked up 37 steals for the Bears this year as he started in 27 games.
