Boston, MA- The Brown men's water polo team defeated the MIT Engineers, 7-6, with the help of Svetozar Stefanovic's three goals as well as James McNamara's four steals on Saturday evening en route to a 2-0 weekend for Bears.
MIT gained a 2-1 lead in the first quarter, but the Bears were able to come back in the second outscoring the Engineers 4-2 to give Brown a 5-4 lead at the half. MIT blanked Brown in the third while scoring one goal, but the Bears were able to outlast MIT in the fourth 2-1 to earn the 7-6 win.
Leading the offense was Stefanovic with three goals, as well as three ejections drawn and two blocks. McNamara and Henry Fox added two goals for the Bears as well, while Walker Shockley led the defense with seven saves.
