Gordon Hood Named CWPA Northern Division Player of the Week

Providence, RI- Brown University’s Gordon Hood (Carlsbad, CA) put together two solid games for the men’s water polo team last week to lead his squad to the 2009 Northern Division title and earn Northern Division Player of the Week honors. The championship marks Brown’s first division title since 1993.

Against the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (W, 8-6) and Fordham University (W, 8-7), he chipped in six goals and four steals, including five goals in the title game against the Rams.

The award marks the second week that Hood has been recognized by the League office as he was previously named the Nov. 2 Northern Division Player of the Week.
