Svetozar Stefanovic Named CWPA Northern Division Rookie of the Week

Providence, RI- Brown University's Svetozar Stefanovic (Belgrade, Serbia) made history this week becoming the first player in league history to earn five weekly awards as he was named the CWPA Northern Division Rookie of the Week.

The September 14 & 28 Player of the Week, the honor marks his third Rookie of the Week accolade after previously receiving the September 7 and 21 awards.

Last week, he helped the Bears to a 1-1 record as Brown defeated Harvard University (15-8 W) and fell to Iona College (10-9 L). Against the Crimson and Gaels, he tallied seven goals, four steals and seven ejections drawn, including five goals with two steals, an assist and an ejection drawn in the victory over Harvard.

He tacked on a hat-trick with three goals during Iona's come-from-behind victory, while also adding two steals and four ejections drawn as the Bears moved into second place in the Northern Division standings.
