Men's Track Takes Part In Terrier Classic; Gaudette Sets School Record In 5,000 Meters

The men's track team took part in Boston University's Terrier Classic on Saturday. The meet had no team scoring.

Senior Brad Bowery (Hamden, CT) won the pole vault, clearing 4.80 meters while junior Aaron Salinger (Hamden, CT) finished second at 4.65 meters. Junior David Owen (Huntington, NY) placed second in the 400 meters with a time of 48.70.

Also placing in the top three were sophomore Daveed Diggs (El Cerrito, CA) in the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 7.73 for third place. Sophomore Jeff Gaudette (Biddeford, ME) took third in the invitational 5,000 meters with a time of 14:09.81, a new school record, which qualifies him for the NCAA Championships.

Freshman Ray Bobrownicki (Avondale, PA) also placed third in the invitational high jump, clearing 2.06. Freshman Jake Golenor (Redding, CA) placed fourth in the invitational shot put with a throw of 15.25 meters.

Brown continues action on Saturday Feb. 1 in a tri-meet with Cornell and host Harvard.
