Walls enters his junior year as part of the best discus trio in the Ivy League, as Brown returns the top three throwers in the league in that event. He placed third in the discus at Heps last year behind teammate Jake Golenor and looks to contend for the top spot this year. Walls also looks to rebound from a disappointing season in the hammer and 35-pound weight throw and will contend for a scoring spot in both events. Kent was not only a part of the best discus trio in the league last year, he was also part of the best throwing corps in the league and both the men and the women outscored the throwing groups from the other seven schools during the outdoor season. Throwing coach Michelle Eisenreich states that Walls is stronger and more fundamentally sound than ever this year and has hopes for him to qualify for the NCAA's this year. Walls counters that with great training and coaching that is a very realistic goal. Kent has personal bests of 163'10", 165'8", and 52'9", in the discus, hammer, and weight, respectively. He looks forward to being part of not only the most talented group of throwers in the Ivy League, but also part of the best TEAM in the Ivy League. Kent is from Beckley, WV, and is the son of K.C. and Jeanie Walls. His sister, Sarah, is a sophomore at the University of Alabama. Finally, Walls is concentrating in Biomedical Engineering.
