Position: Head Women's Cross Country Coach/Assistant Track & Field - Distance

Jill Miller joined the Brown Cross Country/Track & Field coaching staff in 2008. After taking over the women's mid-distance and distance runners in the Winter of 2010, Miller's squad saw a leap of improvement at the 2010 Outdoor Ivy League Championships at which the squad doubled its point total from 2009 and helped move the team to a second place finish.

During the 2010 outdoor track season, Miller coached Ariel Wright to her first Ivy League Championship in the 5,000m run, the 4x800m relay team of Rosie Fleming, Elaine Kuckertz, Kesley Ramsey, and Bree Shugarts to its second consecutive league title, and Lauren Pischel to her runner-up finish in the 10,000m.

In 2010, Miller's cross country team placed third at the Ivy League Cross Country Championships, just two point shy of second place.  Miller coached Freshman Margaret Connelly to a 5th place individual finish (17:29), which was the fastest time ever run by a Brown athlete at Van Cortlandt Park.  Connelly earned First Team All Ivy honors, while Lauren Pischel and Elaine Kuckertz were named to the Second Team.

A graduate of Wake Forest University, Miller was named All-ACC in both the 3,000 and 5,000-meter races, and earned All-American Honors at the 2003 NCAA indoor championships in the 5,000.  She has posted personal best times of 4:56 in the mile, a 9:37 in the 3,000m, and a 16:11 in the 5,000m, and was a runner-up in the 3,000m at the 2002 US Junior Championships, earning Junior All-American honors.

While she worked as a Director of Legislative Affairs for a political consulting firm in Columbus, Ohio, she coached at Dublin Coffman High School while also working on her doctorate in Public Administration from the John Glenn School of Public Affairs at the Ohio State University.
