2006-2007: Mars did not see much action indoors after missing all of the fall training with a lower leg injury. He won the Brown Invitational leaping 22-2.25 and set a personal best mark of 22-7.75 placing 5th at the Husky Invite. Mars placed 8th at the Heptagonal Outdoor Championships with a personal best of 23-4.25 which ranks him 10th on Brown's All-Time List. Mars finished the season with a 22-5 jump at the IC4A Championships.
2005-2006: Mars was third at the URI Invitational meet with a personal record of 22-1.75. He also placed 6th in the 55 dash at 6.70. In his outdoor campaign, Mars placed 5th at the UCONN Invite with a personal best of 22-5.25. He went on the finish 11th at the Heptagonal Championships.
Before Brown:Deshaun joins the program as a long and triple jumper. Having competed in track for only one year prior to Brown, Deshaun is looking to greatly improve on his official distances of 21'10" in the long jump and 44' in the triple jump. Mars also has a personal best of 11.22 in the 100M. Away from the track, he is looking to study Sociology.
