Princeton, NJ- The Brown track & field teams competed at the IC4A/ECAC Championship hosted at Princeton this weekend at the Weaver Track & Field Stadium.
In the IC4As, Daniel Smith finished with a 10th place toss in the shot put with a 54-05.50 distance, and also placed 28th in the discus with a 153-07.
Nick Keeling earned 17th in the javelin with a 187-06, and Evan Weinstock finished in 22nd place with a 172-11. Courtland Clavette finished just ahead of Smith in the discus throw with a 155-02 to place 27th.
On the track, John Spooney was 15th in the 100m dash preliminaries, and also placed sixth in the 200m dash finals clocking in at 21.57 seconds.
In the ECAC Championships, the Brown women's track & field team finished in the top-10 of four finals.
The Brown throwers had a solid outing as Lacey Craker led the Bears with a fourth place toss in the hammer throw with a distance of 184-01. She also competed in the discus and earned 27th with a 138-01 mark.
Niina Al-Hassan placed eighth in the javelin with a 142-07, as did the 4x800m relay squad comprised of Megan Palmer, Sasha Teninty, Tess Plant-Thomas and Rosie Fleming. The relay team clocked in at 9:06.98.
Also earning an eighth place mark was Hannah Wallace, who finished with a 12-04.75 height in the pole vault. Heather Vermillion placed 15th for the Bears in the hammer throw with a 170-09, and Jessica Eason earned 22nd in the shot put with a 40-02.75.
On the track, Margaret Connelly finished in 16th in the 5,000m run crossing the finish line in 16:59.01, and Ari Garber followed with a 17:23.78 for 23rd place.
