Season by Season:
2008 Cross Country: Competed for Brown at the Dartmouth Invitational as well as the New England Championships at Franklin Park ...Finished the season as Brown's top finisher at the CCSU 5k meet. 
2008-2009: Qualified for IC4A's in the 1000 meters ... Took 3rd in the 800 at the Yale Geigengack Invitational with a PR of 1:55.28 ... Helped Brown take 3rd in the 4 by 800 relay at the indoor Heptagonal Championships, splitting 1:54 ... Also competed in the mile at the indoor Heptagonal Championship at Harvard.

High School: Attended Deerfield Academy in Deerfield, Massachusetts.  Top finishes include: 4th place league finish in NEPSTA cross country, NEPSTA division I champion in the 1500 and 2nd place in the 800.  Won a record of 3 athletic awards in the Spring of his senior year at Deerfield.

Personal: Other interests include soccer, golf, history, and writing ... Son of Todd (Brown '83) and Stephanie Schurz ... Sister Caroline also competes in cross country/track and will graduate from Deerfield in the Spring of 2010.
