Jamie Cerretani and Adil Shamasdin Win First Round Match At NCAA Men's Tennis Doubles Championship

Tulsa, OK - Brown's first doubles team of senior Jamie Cerretani and junior Adil Shamasdin earned a solid victory in the first round of the NCAA Division I Men's Tennis Doubles Championship at the University of Tulsa, advancing to the second round of 16.

Cerretani and Shamasdin cruised to a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Rahim Esmail and Jesse Witten from the University of Kentucky, extending their doubles record to 23-2 for the season.

The win advances Cerretani and Shamasdin into the second round where they will face the third-seeded team from Georgia, StanfordBo Hodge and John Isner on Friday, May 28, at 2:30 p.m., local time. Hodge and Isner advanced by virtue of a 6-4, 6-4 win over Montana State.
