Athens, GA - Brown's doubles team of senior Chris Drake (Needham, MA) and junior Jaime Cerretani (Reading, MA) advanced to the round of 16 at the NCAA Division I Men's Tennis Championship at the University of Georgia.
The duo captured their opening match, defeating Vanderbilt's Bobby Reynolds and Lewis, 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 late Thursday evening. Reynolds is the number one ranked singles player at the NCAA tournament.
Drake and Cerretani will face the number two seed, Oliver Maiberger and Ryan Redondo from San Diego State on Friday, May 23rd, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Drake and Cerretani posted a 15-2 mark at first doubles this season while leading Brown to a 20-4 overall mark and a berth in the NCAA Division I Team Championship. The duo claimed titles at the Virginia Tech Invitational and the Harvard Winter Invitational.
