PROVIDENCE, RI - The Brown men's tennis team will host the first-ever "Rock N' Roll & College Tennis" match on Saturday evening when it faces Boston University at 7:00 p.m. Rock n' roll music will be played throughout the ENTIRE dual match between the Bears and the Terriers, which will count towards team records.
This puts a little twist to the traditional view of no talking or cheering between points. It also puts a little twist to the way a team prepares and practices. The event consists of a shortened format with four singles and one doubles match (super breaker played for the 3rd set).
Former Harvard Coach and Director of College Tennis Exposure camp, Ed Krass leads the promotional efforts to increase the popularity of college tennis and make it `more fit' for television exposure.
