Bears Edge St. John's, 4-3

FLUSHING, NY - In its first dual match of the season, the Brown men's tennis team (1-0) picked up a 4-3 win over St. John's in the first round of action at the 2007 ECAC Championships. Seeded seventh in the tournament, the Bears breezed past the 10th-seeded Red Storm in doubles action, but split the six singles matches to narrowly defeat St. John's. Brown will face Ivy-foe Columbia, seeded second and winners of a 6-0 match over #15 St. Bonnaventure, in quarterfinal action tomorrow.
