Brown Men's Tennis Competes at 2003 Harvard Fall Invitational Tournament

Cambridge, MA- Four Brown men advanced to Saturday's quarterfinal round of the Harvard Fall Invitational tournament. Second-seeded Jamie Cerretani lead the way for the bears as he defeated Harvard's Jason Beren 6-3, 7-5 Friday afternoon after having a first round bye. Number four seed, Nick Goldberg, and sixth-seeded Adil Shamasdin also handed their opponents losses in the round of 16, leading the Brown men's tennis team in Flight A singles.
Three of the five doubles teams competing for brown advanced to quarterfinal competition with the first-seeded team of Cerretani and Shamasdin leading the way in a shutout of Boston Unitversity's team of Topeher Berton-Ledford and Barrett Wolf.
Other competing universities include players from Rutgers, tufts, and MIT. The tournament runs through September 21, 2003.
