Bears Fall to #7 Pepperdine, 6-1

Malibu, CA - The 51st-ranked Brown men's tennis team (15-5) dropped a 6-1 decision to #7 Pepperdine (15-2) on Friday afternoon.

With Pepperdine leading 3-0 at the time, court three played host to the match's clinching point. Sophomore Eric Thomas (Cincinnati, OH) took a quick 6-0 first set from Pepperdine, before the Wave took control. Bouncing back, to win 6-3 and 6-4 sets to clinch Pepperdine's ninth consecutive win.

In doubles action, the team of senior Nicholas Goldberg (Albuquerque, NM) and junior Luke Tedaldi (West Newton, MA) posted the lone win for Brown at #3, earning an 8-4 victory.

Junior Richard Moss (Johannesburg, South Africa) picked up the only singles win for the Bears, winning 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 at #5, as Brown avoided the shutout.

The Bears continue action on Saturday, April 2, when they face Fresno State at 2:00 p.m. est, their final match before the start of the Ivy season.
