Albuquerque, NM - Coach Jay Harris' 40th ranked men's tennis team extended its record to 11-2 overall with a 4-3 victory over New Mexico.
The Bears received strong performances throughout the lineup, and were led by senior captain Chris Drake, who earned a 6-4, 7-5 win at second singles. Brown also received singles wins from freshman Zachary Pasanan, a 6-4, 6-2 winner at number four, and freshman Phil Charm, who captured a hard fought 6-1, 4-6, 6-3 decision at number six.
Brown opened the match by capturing the doubles point. Junior Jamie Cerretani teamed with Drake to win 8-5 at number one doubles, while junior Kris Goddard paired with Pasanen for an 8-7 (7-3) win at third doubles.
