Eric's impressive resume includes two Ohio State Championships. Eric captured the State Doubles Championship in 2001 and in 2003 he became the first Walnut Hills athlete since tennis legend Tony Trabert to capture a State Singles Championship! In 2001, Eric reached a career high of #9 in the country in singles and #2 in doubles in the Boy's 16's. The following year Eric held the #1 singles ranking in the Midwest Section and captained Midwest Junior Intersectional Team to a National Championship. Eric finished 2002 ranked #65 in the country in the Boy's 18's. A four time winner of the prestigious Tom Price Sportsmanship Award, Eric was named the 2003 United States Tennis Association Midwest Section Junior Player of the Year.
A little known fact about Eric is that he is an accomplished violin player. He has played the violin since he was 5. Eric has performed at St. Martins in the Field in London and most recently he had an opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City last April 2003.
Eric also lettered in football and Golf for Walnut Hills High School and was named First Team "All-League" as a Field Goal Kicker his senior year. His hobbies include rock climbing and playing the harmonica.
