Cocaptain Nick Malone enters his senior year and will finish his career as one of the best players in Brown History. Malone is expected to see significant time as Brown's top singles player and has always played as part of the Bears' top doubles team.

Nick holds a 58-31 singles and 60-33 doubles record. His highest regional singles ranking is #5 and his highest doubles ranking is # 2. He has been First Team All-Ivy in singles his junior year, and All Ivy Second Team in singles his sophomore year. In doubles he was Second Team All Ivy his freshman year, and First Team All Ivy his sophomore and junior years. Nick has also been Academic All Ivy his first three years. He also has qualified for the 2001 NCAA tournament in doubles with partner Jamie Cerretani and lost to Virginia Commonwealth's Moser and Marquardt 7-6,6-3. Nick has had several very significant victories for Brown including Oklahoma State's Eru Lyndon 6-3,6-2; Florida's Nathan Overholser 6-4,4-6,6-4; Florida State's Gustav Bucht 6-3,6-3; and Harvard's David Lingman 6-2,6-2; and William Lee 3-6,6-2,6-1.

Nick claimed four national championships in Ireland, two in the 18 and under and one in the 12 and under and one 14 and under. He also had two national doubles titles one 12 and under and one 18 and under. Nick was the top ranked 18 and under junior in Ireland in 1998. This past summer Nick was East of Ireland Champion and is presently the 7th ranked men's player in Ireland. Major: Economics.
