Chris Lee enters his senior year as captain with his fellow classmates. He came to Brown from Sudbury, Massachusetts, and made an immediate impact earning First Team All-Ivy honors as a freshman while helping his team to the 2006 Ivy Championship. He followed that up with a national ranking of #25 in the country his sophomore year in doubles (with Dan Hanegby '07) and made a run to the semifinals of the ITA Northeast Regional Doubles Championship (with Basu Ratnam '09) as a junior. That year he also helped lead the squad to a second place Ivy League finish.

Chris put together a stellar freshman campaign which saw him go 19-9 in singles play. He posted an 18-11 mark in doubles play finishing at the #1 spot with Phil Charm '06. Chris came in his sophomore year with a big load to carry after the graduation of captains Charm and Luke Tedaldi '06. He started the year off with a bang winning the Northeast Intercollegiate Singles and Doubles Championships (with Saurabh Kohli '08). Chris finished the year off with a 17-4 record in singles action and a doubles mark of 21-7, while teaming with various partners. His level of play had risen, as he has worked on his attacking and transition game. Chris had become a solid all-court player with great mental composure.

Chris' junior year was a true display of all the hard work he had put in. In his junior fall, Chris teamed up with Ratnam to reach the semifinals of the ITA Northeast Regional Doubles Championship. Chris played all over the lineup in the spring season including the top spots. He finished the year 9-11 in singles matches and 19-9 on the doubles court teaming mostly with Charlie Posner '11. His superb play during the Ivy League season helped Chris earn Second Team All-Ivy honors in singles.

His senior year began right where he left off as he defeated the 2008 Ivy League player of the Year and then he and Posner defeated the 2009 Regional Doubles Champions (at the USTA Invitational). Unfortunately, these were the last matches he played in the fall due to an injury. Now, Chris is back and stronger than ever. He is looking forward to help lead the Bears to another Ivy League Title run.

Chris attended Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School, where he earned a 3.7 grade point average throughout his academic career. He was named the LSHS scholar in 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005 and graduated Cum Laude. During his junior career in tennis, he was the #1 player in the New England Region in the '16s and #24 in the country. He attained a ranking of #3 in New England in the '18s. At Brown, Chris has continued his great academic works as he has qualified for ITA Scholar-Athlete in 2006, 2007, and 2008 in addition to earning Academic All-Ivy honors in 2008. Chris will be attending Mount Sinai Medical School upon graduation and is aspiring to be a surgeon. He sports a 3.9 grade point average through seven semesters at Brown and is a sociology concentrator.

Off the court, Chris enjoys spending time with fellow teammate Kendrick Au '11. His hobbies include fishing, cooking, traveling, listening to music, playing ping-pong, playing violin, sports of all kinds, rooting for the Celtics, Red Sox, Patriots, and Bruins, and reading non-fiction novels. He enjoys classic rock, but listens to hip-hop on his pre-match pump up mix. His favorite movies are The Shawshank Redemption and The Godfather.
